Airbone Allergies
Do you suffer from seasonal allergies?
Are you prone to getting sinus infections?
Do you suffer from chronic fatigue?
During certain times of the year, do you find yourself having itchy eyes, blowing your nose, or sneezing?
You may be one of the 60 million Americans, or roughly 20% of the population, who suffer from allergies. However, less than 3% of allergic individuals are receiving immunotherapy (the only treatment that changes your underlying allergic disease instead of temporarily treating symptoms)!
At Serenity Health Care Center, our approach to treating airborne allergies is two-fold. First, we obtain a detailed history that involves looking at the environment as well as your family and personal history. We ask that you complete the allergy questionnaire before your appointment. This information is essential to diagnosing allergies. CLICK HERE to complete the allergy questionnaire.
Serenity uses the allergy “drop” treatment using the La Crosse Method approach, which is a convenient, safe, effective, affordable and versatile solution for many allergy sufferers. Treatments can be individualized for those with seasonal and environmental allergies, or those with more complex allergies, such as mold and food allergies, or associated allergic conditions, like asthma.
Allergy testing is administered only after a diagnosis of an allergic disorder is made based upon the above information and a physical examination.
Injection immunotherapy is an effective treatment, yet many allergy sufferers are not willing or able to consider this treatment. Sublingual immunotherapy, or allergy drops, is an off-label use of the same antigens used in allergy shots.
There are many benefits to allergy drop treatment, including reduced time spent at your doctor’s office, the advantage of taking immunotherapy at home or on the go, the ability to treat a broader array of allergic patients and conditions, and the reduced need for allergy medications.
If you would like to treat your allergies with sublingual drop therapy, please call Serenity Health Care Center to set up an appointment at 262-522-8640.
